BRAD THOMAS BIO

Brad ThomasBrad Thomas is a native of Knoxville, Iowa.  He attended Central College in Pella, Iowa, graduating with a degree in Accounting.  He later finished his Masters in Business Administration at Touro University in California.  Brad is a 22-year member of the Iowa Air National Guard and is currently employed by the Iowa National Guard Counterdrug Task Force in Johnston, Iowa.  Most of his time with the Task Force has been as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst with assignments to the Des Moines Police Department Narcotics section and later, the Iowa Department of Public Safety Intelligence Bureau.  He is currently assigned to the Headquarters Staff at Camp Dodge.  Brad is also a part-time Telecommunications Officer.  He first started with the Knoxville Police Department and currently dispatches for the Marion County Law Enforcement Center in Knoxville.  Brad also instructs nationally in the areas of Criminal Intelligence and Criminal Interdiction.

He was a member of the Marion County Sheriff's Reserves from 1986 to 1990.  In 1991, he joined the Knoxville Police Reserves, moving through the positions of Supply Officer, Treasurer, and currently serves as the Chief of the Reserves.  He is a past ISRLOA District Director, current Chair of the Training Committee, and served as the ISRLOA President in 2008.
