Rod
Fitzgerald is a native of Pocahontas, Iowa, where he graduated from Pocahontas
Community High School in 1980. He has attended numerous swine related
classes, including Al School in Cambridge Iowa and Management Education Classes
through ISU Extension Services. He has been a swine farm manager for the
past 26 years, 8 years in Pocahontas, 7 years in Alta and presently manages a
3,000 sow unit near Peterson, Iowa. He joined the Cherokee Police Reserve
unit in February of 1993. He was past District 1 Director and is presently serving as ISRLOA President for 2009.
