SCOTT MACK BIO

Scott MackScott was born in Storm Lake, Iowa and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1979.

He has served as a volunteer fireman for the Storm Lake Fire Department since 1989 and is currently a Lieutenant on the fire department.

Scott started working as a jailer in 2000, and is currently a fulltime Jail Supervisor for the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Department.  He was one of the original Buena Vista County reserve deputies, which started in 2000.  He has served as President of the Buena Vista County Reserves for 2 years.  He enjoys his work very much, but says it can be challenging but rewarding and he can truthfully say his life is never dull.

He is a single parent of 4 children, 3 of which he has custody.  He is proud of all his children still at home; Brooke, Brent and Bradyn. He is also proud of his adult son Brian who is in the National Guard and has served 2 tours, one in Kuwait and the other in Afghanistan.  Scott also has one granddaughter, Madison.  He also has a daughter, Emily.

Scott also enjoys hunting with his sons and brothers.  During the warmer weather he enjoys fishing, camping and going to the Alta races with his family.  He is also an avid griller and takes if very seriously.

He is proud to be a part of the ISRLOA and hopes to keep the future of the ISRLOA strong and going in the right direction.
